Welcome to the professional site for Robert Danberg. You’ll find information about my classes and workshops, samples of my published work, and information about my new book, Teaching Writing While Standing on One Foot.
As Professor of the Practice/Coordinator of Campus-Wide Writing Support in Binghamton University’s Writing Initiative I teach, develop curriculum and train teachers. I work with faculty across disciplines to strengthen their approaches to writing in their classrooms. I also conduct writing productivity workshops for faculty and dissertation writers, as well as workshops on academic style.
I have a special interest in helping blocked writers and writers with learning disabilities.
My book of essays, Teaching Writing While Standing on One Foot (Sense Publishers), explores how we can understand and teach what can only be acquired and is often only evident in the act of writing itself.
